Joint Statement from the Athletes of Ukraine and Global Athlete
Russian and Belarusian Athletes must be banned from all international sporting events until Russia fully withdraws from Ukraine. The IOC holds significant responsibility to ensure that international sport is not a stage for Russian foreign policy and must enact on this clear breach of Human Rights and the Olympic Charter.
A joint statement from the Athletes of Ukraine and Global Athlete
Today is a bittersweet victory for Ukrainian athletes. On the one hand, we have seen the power athletes yield as a collective. On the other hand, the Ukrainian nation continues to experience a raging war from Russia and Belarus and sport administrators only acted after a global outcry. As athletes have stood together for change, the Ukrainians are also standing together for their sovereignty and for peace.
A joint statement from the Athletes of Ukraine and Global Athlete
As Russian and Belarusian bombs rain down on Ukrainian citizens, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) today issued another blow to every Ukrainian athlete and citizen by allowing Russian and Belarusian athletes compete at the 2022 Beijing Paralympic Games
Open letter to IOC and IPC from Ukrainian Athletes
Ukrainian Athletes to call on you in your leadership capacity of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC) to immediately suspend the Russian and Belarusian National Olympic and Paralympic Committees. Any suspension must also include the banning of all athletes from international sport, including the 2022 Beijing Paralympic Games.
